    Sir:

I like your site – have you considered creating a mailing list? I suggest you visit some of the yahoo groups – the “Zonelink” group is about 400 members of BHS and CHS grads, but I would imagine that a similar amount of people from the “Silver” towns in the Canal Zone exist out there in the internet ether.

There are other groups on yahoo associated with Panama…BajunPlace ..panamacanalzone …

But there are no groups for the “Silver” people. I hope you or someone from your group would set that up, as I imagine there are many hundreds of prior WestIndians that would love to be able to reach out and touch their friends and family.

    Good Luck to you sir,

    Dennis Gilbert

  • My Esteemed Mr. Gilbert:
Thank you very much for your kind suggestions, we will follow them judiciously.
Please consider this site your own and feel free to send in any idea you deem will help us in these endeavours we have undertaken.

Any thing we can do to make your web experience pleasant please let us help.
    With best regards

    CRR

  • Best wishes to your organization and its mission. Certainly the Silver People have a proud legacy that needs to be told to future generations, Gold and Silver.

The Panama Canal Museum just developed an exhibit which honors the participation of West Indians in the construction of the canal. The exhibit traveled to the recent reunion of the Panama Canal Society in Orlando, Florida.

I hope you are more successful in gathering supporters for your cause than we have for our museum which is now celebrating its tenth anniversary.
